At the core of "The Bear" lies the story of a romance, ignited between two strangers. The main characters, performed by Elena Yakovleva and Alexander Feklistov, alternately play at hatred and love, and the rules of the game are known only to them. Traditional Vaudeville gains new meaning in the SounDrama genre, and the stage composition is built at the crossroads of opera and dramatic art. Arias in Italian, French, and German are incorporated into a classical rendition of Chekhov's play, in order to express the full range of meaning of the passionate struggle between the characters.
